When God made teachers

He wanted someone to teach us our ABCs.

He looked at many different people

because not just any ole body would do.

When God made teachers,

He wanted someone with compassion.

Someone with a tender heart

Know when to see things and when to turn away.

When God made teachers,

He wanted someone to understand

And accept that some things do not change

No matter how much we wish they would.

When God made teachers,

He wanted them to be the mama

And the daddy To his children.

He needed someone to nurture and to discipline.

When God made teachers,

He was looking

For just the right person

So he chose you.
