Don't Cry For Me...

This poem, I wrote for my two oldest brothers.  Roy died October 17,  2009, and Roger died on November 19, 2011.  They both died when they were 67.  I miss them.

Don’t Cry for Me…

Don’t cry for me…

Don’t cry my precious ones for there is no more pain.

I am in the arms of our blessed savior.

I do not walk alone for I am at peace.

I will still be around, as you shall see.

For, I will be in the first snowflake

That softly caresses your cheek.

I am the twinkle in the night’s brightest star.

So please don’t cry for me.

For I can be found with the song of the blue bird,
in the bloom of your favorite flower,

and with the rays of every sunrise and sunset.

Go now and live life, for I am free.

I get to see my father and my brother again.

I can have that little talk with God and Jesus.

I shall be here waiting for each one of you.

When it is your time to join me,

I get to meet you at the golden gates.

It will be as if I never left.

I now prepare a place for all of us

To be together again someday.
